Exactly 10 years later, I returned to FC Porto‘s training ground at Olival.
It was, on the one hand, necessary: the previous mural was quite dilapidated and, after the recent works in that space, practically irrecoverable.
On the other hand, as Olival is now called Centro de Treino e Formação Desportiva Jorge Costa — and taking into account that it was just a few meters from that mural that everything happened -, representing him was important for the club, but above all for everyone who lived closely with Jorge and who, every day, look at that mural when they arrive at work.
The responsibility is always great and, this time, the challenge was even greater: working with references and old, blurry and low-resolution photographs, from different phases of Jorge Costa‘s long career as an FC Porto player.
At the same time, I tried to create a visual identification with the way the club has been working on its communication in recent years. In the center, a photorealistic image; in the background, a BD style that tells a story made up of various moments from the 90s and 2000s.
I am, once again, very grateful to FC Porto for the invitation, for entrusting me with this responsibility and for the way they always support me. To the management, the staff, the players, the employees, the security guards and everyone who came across me, thank you very much.
